More funeral pics

Ross, Grandma Roskelley, Petra and Allie mug for the camera. Grandma Roskelley loved Grandma Catherine. She always told me how lucky I was to have such a wonderful Mother-in-Law.
Laura finally sits to get a bite to eat with her long time good friend Nancy. ( Laura hates it when i take pictures of her eating.

Aunt Lizzy and Aunt Myrtis and Uncle Richard sit and visit with Kathy and Tawnya.

Brian B. played the piano for us while we ate, it was outstanding to hear how good he was. This same Brian played during the funeral.

Memories of Grandma Catherine.

Grandma Louise Catherine Brian Seamons

Better known as Grandma Catherine

Grandma Catherine's Funeral was yesterday July 3, 2008. I loved this picture from the front of the program. She would love it and laugh if she saw it. She has been gone for a while now as her memory had left long ago and she was unable to remember who we were. She in the last couple of years would tell Jeff that he should really stop kissing her because she was married!! She would light up when we would come to visit her, she knew that we were special even if her mind didn't remember us.

The kids all have their favorite memories of Grandma Catherine, cooking (standing on a chair if they weren't big enough to reach the stove) and playing card games. She loved math and told me once "they think we are playing games, I am really teaching them math problems.

All of our children were able to be at Grandma's funeral, it was fun to see them with their Seamons cousins. Some of them had not seen each other for many years.

Hans and Kristen pose for me in the foyer of the church. They are so cute together, they were having fun catching up on their lives.

I saw these two cuties standing together and just had to take a picture. Melanie and Suzanne are so fun to be with, they always have big smiles and are quick to hug. I so wish they lived closer.

Aunt Kathy and Tawnya came all the way from Louisiana. Grandma's sisters Ione and her husband Jimmy, Myrtis and Lizzy and her husband Richard. It was so fun to see them again!! Hans and Katie really remember Aunt Lizzy and Uncle Richard. They used to come to see Grandma often and we loved to visit with them.

Allie can SEE!!!!

Allie finally got her glasses. She has needed them for a while and we finally found the frames she liked and got them ordered. She wore them for a whole day before her friends noticed she had them on. She is so happy to see the leaves on the trees!!! Four eyes, hehehehe

This is one of my favorite pictures from Allie's Senior pictures. She is growing up, but best part is she is growing in other ways. She is, as I type, in the kitchen cooking dinner and at the same time getting ready for the dance. (mormen center dance!! Her favorite week for dances) This is the best part of having a teenager, they finally can do some of the stuff I am tired of doing!!

Allie's Senior Pictures

I think I am in shock!! My last child has had her Senior picture taken, this is not a new event but I know this is the beginning of the end. OK, I know that she is getting her pictures taken a little early, but we have a friend that is in this business and is using Allie as his model for her high school. (note to everyone, make friends with a photographer, they come in handy) Anyway, she got her pictures back last week and she looks darling. You can see them at http://tinyurl.com/4bkva4. you can see all the photos he posted on his site. She is having fun her Junior year and so far I am not seeing the dreaded Senioritist, you know that crazy look they get about half way thru their Senior year, get me out of this place look. We have been pretty lucky with this last child. She is somewhat quiet and has a great group of friends, (yes both male and female) they do most things together, dances (they manage to find a stake having a dance most every weekend) and hanging out at each others houses. I guess it's true they do save the best for last, Oh, sorry Allie that would be my beautiful grandchildren.

We all came to Grandma's house to work in her back yard!! Uncle Grant came from Utah. JJ decided that Mom/Grandma needed a sturdy walkway to the shed. It was a fun day, we all met at Grandma's and started working on our projects. Katie and Colleen and Carolyn started working on the planters getting the garden and bulb planted. The guys all worked on the cement. It was a fun family day!

The Rain

CJ has been running around the yelling "the light is coming!!". I was wondering where the light was coming from. He was looking for lightening. Now if you know me, lightening is NOT my favorite thing. I have been known to hide under or around anything that will block out lightening and the thunder is the worst. But CJ thinks it is his "friend" and calls and calls for it to come back. He will ask over and over again, is it Summer yet? He knows in the summer his "friend" is gone and he has to wait until Winter to come again.
